Eng & Technical Lead CI BOP
Bristol/London (2 days per week expected at nearest location, 1 day per week expected at other office location) with hybrid working arrangements.
£525-650.00pd PAYE Contract (+ 36 days paid leave) or £700-870.00pd via approved umbrella
Initial CED 31/12/2025. Rolling 12 months thereafter

The SZC Project Team is a growing, diverse, and collaborative organisation committed to engaging stakeholders, triggering development consent, and preparing the project for the start of construction. As the Engineering & Technical Lead you will work within the Civil Works Programme, which is an integral part of this project. You will be responsible for the definition of the design, engineering, and technical requirements, leadership of the delivery of all CWP design (from requirements definition to acceptance), including management of the Engineering & Technical budget and associated resources and supply chain to deliver the design to the CWP Delivery teams, integration of constructability requirements and design integration within the Civil Works Programme and with Site Establishment and Offsite Infrastructure.

The Engineering and Technical Lead is part of the Engineering & Technical function within the Civil Works Programme, you will be reporting to the CWP E&T Director.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

* Have heavy experience within civil engineering & structural concrete, with an understanding as to how buildings come together, how they're designed, and how they function.
* Hold proven experience of Integration of design within multi-disciplinary teams.
* Ideally have strong working knowledge within the nuclear sector, working on large scale projects (or similar).
* Ideally hold a degree within civils or similar.
* Ideally have a structural qualification (desired but not essential).
