Role: Sub Project Manager
Location: Harwell
Rate: Up to £50 per hour - Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Background: Nuclear Ideally- will consider other highly regulated backgrounds
Qualifications Required: PM Degree or similar

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accountable to deliver assigned project within the agreed terms & conditions, fulfilling project objectives and stakeholder expectations. Provides support and control for an organization's projects including: utilisation of project management processes/tools/templates to ensure WPMR compliance; carrying out key activities assigned by more senior project manager; gathering and reporting consolidated project status
and financial information to leadership

Sub Project Managers are responsible for the tasks & projects assigned to them via their Job Descriptions.

All aspects of the project shall be managed including:

- Making Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality (EHS&Q) a priority.
- Assisting team to achieve performance goals related to scope, schedule, and cost.
- Accountable for following and understanding project management processes.
- Assisting with contractual requirements and using knowledge to look for opportunities to increase margin through change requests.
- Mitigation of risks and translation of these risks and opportunities into improved margin.
- Measuring performance against baseline, meeting schedule and cost commitments.
- Identification and escalation of issues before they become problems.
- Tracking and management of the agreed project deliverables.
- Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork and manage projects according to the project
management standards.
- Complete the training/qualification requirements for the associated project complexity at the start of the project as defined by the WPMR and W2-10.1-101 (Reference 6.21)
- Assist in preparing a Project Management Plan based on the project scope. Revise the Project
- Management Plan when there is a significant change.
- Communications and stakeholder management (including reporting requirements).

Key responsibilities typically include:

- Excellent understand of the project scope and requirements (specified in contract) and the effective management of this scope, using change control as necessary.
- Ensure safety and quality are priorities at all times throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assisting with project and resource management to achieve contract deliverables.
- Track project performance and costs via appropriate reporting to management.
- Assist in developing/managing a detailed project schedule.
- Proactively manage project risks and opportunities.
- Actively manage key stakeholders through designated communications methods.
