Job Description

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer
Job Type: Permanent
Start Date: Subject to Clearance
Salary Range: £40,000 - £44,000 (DOE)
Benefits Package: 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme - 6-8% Matched,
Flexible Start & Finish times.
Location: Barrow-In-Furness
Hybrid Working Available - 2 Days on Site every 2 Weeks
Hours of Work: 37 Hours Per Week + Overtime Available (Double time for anything able two hours)

Role & Responsibilities:
* You will be directly supporting the team by producing 3D models of either Pipe routes, HVAC systems or mechanical compartment arrangements using the CAD toolset
* Your responsibilities will also include producing 2D drawings and electronic data and BoM item development to a fast - paced schedule to support manufacturing, installation, and testing of our products
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with other Design team members and Stakeholders who are working towards the same common goal
* Working as a team to produce an Integrated Design that meets our client's expectations and agreed set of requirements.

Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Understanding of CAD toolsets and techniques e.g. Foran, Solidworks and Siemens NX etc. in both 2D (Diagrams) and 3D outputs (drawings and models)
* HNC / ONC level or degree qualification in relevant STEM subject or equivalent work experience
* Understanding of mechanical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level in either piping or HVAC design
* Experience in Mechanical Compartment Integration / Room Integration and or Engineering Standards at Component / Equipment level
