Job Description

Job title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Salary: £48,000-£61,500 Per Annum
Benefits: 25 Days Leave, 8 Bank Holidays, additional holiday buy or sell scheme , Pension, Life Assurance, Professional Fees paid.
Location: Glasgow - Hybrid Working Available (3/2 Split)
Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Role information:
- Prepare and supervise the preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity and cost estimates
- Maintain the content of design documentation throughout the project life cycle
- Manage the design development throughout the design lifecycle for new and modified equipment
- Support on the production of configuration documentation for modifications
- Support new design implementation
- Produce condition reports for fault-finding
- Review maintenance regimes and activities
- Check others work to ensure design deliverables are met to the required standards

Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and legislation relating to field
- Knowledge of relevant drawing standards
- Experience in using Solidworks, Inventor or CAD Design Software.
- Strong knowledge in the production of technical documentation for new products and equipment
- Detailed design knowledge of mechanical mechanisms
- Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience
