Job Description

Job title: Decommissioning team lead role
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: Permanent
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Up to £60,000 Depending on experience
Location: Whitehaven/Abingdon/Warrington
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Minimum 5yrs experience in the Nuclear industry
- Engineering or science degree in relevant field
- Experience working in decommissioning projects
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Previous line management experience

Role information:

- Mentor and coach other team members
- Carry out staff appraisals
- Identify training and personal development needs
- Identify suitable candidates and review CV's and undertake interviews
- Provide technical input and support to decommissioning projects and activities
- Undertake audits
- Manage and oversee decommissioning works
- Ensure works are undertaken safely and comply with processes and regulations
- Develop a waste management strategy including categorisation, handling and storage of waste
- Develop budgeting and cost estimations for decommissioning projects
