Job title: Scaffolding Supervisor

Location: Seascale, Cumbria
Hours of work:38 hours (Overtime Available)

The Role:
The Scaffolding Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding on-site, ensuring all scaffolding operations comply with safety standards and regulations. This role includes supervising a team of scaffolders, coordinating with other site teams, and ensuring scaffolding systems are installed to provide safe access for construction and maintenance operations.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the scaffolding team in the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems.
* Ensure that all scaffolders are trained and competent in their tasks.
* Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to scaffolders based on project requirements.
* Monitor work progress to ensure timelines are met.
* Ensure all scaffolding work is carried out following health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
* Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding to verify structural integrity and safety.
* Lead tool-box talks, risk assessments, and method statements related to scaffolding activities.
* Ensure appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is worn at all times.
* Liaise with construction teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule scaffolding requirements.
* Ensure scaffolding is available when needed to avoid delays to the project schedule.
* Provide technical support and guidance to scaffolders and other site personnel.
* Inspect scaffolding structures to ensure they are safe and compliant with relevant specifications.
* Ensure proper tagging and certification of scaffolding systems.
* Maintain records of scaffolding inspections, certifications, and modifications.

Qualifications:
* SSSTS
* Supervisors gold card
* IOSH Managing safely

All candidates must be eligible to gain BPSS Clearance or have the ability to obtain BPSS Security Clearance.
