Job Description

Job title: Health Physics Monitor
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: Permanent
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £40,000-£45,000 Depending on experience
Location: Cumbria/UK Wide
Hours of work: 37 hours Mon-Friday
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Ability to gain SC clearance
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a health physics monitor
- City and Guilds level 1 Radiation Protection or NVQ level 2 in Radiation Protection
Ideally applicants should also have:
- IOSH working safely certificate

Role information:

- Carry out radiological protection monitoring
- Measure radiation doses and contamination levels
- Provide protection advice to facility operators
- Produce survey sheets, reports and data presentations
- Identify trends to detect areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
- Report any areas of concern to the relevant parties
- Provide emergency responses for health physics related matters


All candidates must be eligible and able to obtain SC Clearance, ideally candidates will already hold this
