Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Administrator to work with a high-profile Rolling Stock company that are responsible for the maintenance and reliability of several locomotive fleets, including the Avanti High Speed Trains.
Position: Operations Support Administrator
Location: Manchester Train Care Centre, Kirkhmanshulme Lane, Longsight, Manchester, M12 4HR
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Long term ongoing contract.
Hours: Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week
Current rates are:
- PAYE: £15.10 per hour
- Umbrella Company: £18.61 per hour
Please note that the rates are due to increase in the coming weeks.
Responsibilities
- To work with other members of the planning organisation to provide documentation for accurate recording of work done.
- To provide cover within the planning department on a shift rotation basis.
- Interrogation of and inputting into relevant IT systems (GSI, ARIBA , BASWEAR.
- Creation of Notifications and Service Orders in SAP
- Entering and issuing the war board plan through SES or similar system
- Creating sales/service orders for all work done
- Archiving Documentation / Filing of Vehicle records
- Customer authorization sheets
- Modification and Special Check production control
- Data chasing for control of production
- Assist Production Department with implementing and updating War board plan
- Communicate with the Materials Team to ensure that adequate materials are available
- Interrogate all relevant IT systems to produce specific maintenance requirements
- Data collection for KPI's
- Maintaining accurate records of the status of vehicle stopped for repair
- Understand and abide by safety notices, rules & regulations and follow safe working practices, H&SAWA and COSHH
- Work in conjunction with lifesaving rules
- Comply with and enforce Zero Deviation Policy (AZDP)
Experience Required:
- Experience of GSI, SAP, Ariba, Baswear and SIS are an advantage.
- Educated to GCSE standard
- Good Numeracy, Literacy and IT Skills
This role is subject to Drugs and Alcohol testing due to working in a Safety Critical Environment.
