Job Description
Electrical Maintenance Fitter
Rullion is actively seeking a highly skilled and electrically proficient dual-skilled fitter with the requisite qualifications for an ongoing contract opportunity with a leading rail company located in the northwestern region.
You will play a pivotal role as part of the maintenance team dedicated to the Class 390 Avanti High-Speed Trains fleet, and your duties will be centered at the Liverpool Train Care Centre.
Shift Pattern:
Days and Nights (2 weeks Days and 2 weeks Nights)
Duration:
Ongoing contract, initially for 6 months
Rates:
Days And Nights:
- First 12 weeks:
- PAYE: £27.47 per hour
- Umbrella:£34.46 per hour
- Post 12 weeks:
- PAYE: £27.47 per hour
- Umbrella: £36.32 per hour
Please be aware that this position is subject to IR35 regulations, which means that we do not engage with Limited Companies for this role.
Background Requirements:
While prior experience in Rolling Stock is preferred, it is not mandatory. However, having a background in Aerospace, REME (Engineering in the Armed Forces), HGV/Buses, or operating large vehicles is essential.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or an equivalent recognized qualification) to meet the specified criteria. Additionally, a strong knowledge of Microsoft applications is required.
Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, your primary responsibilities will encompass servicing, maintaining, and repairing the Class 390 Avanti High-Speed Trains Fleet. As an integral member of the team, you will ensure that traction and rolling stock are serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, with a continuous emphasis on enhancing quality.
Please note that our client maintains a rigorous zero-tolerance Drug and Alcohol Policy. Be prepared for a Drug and Alcohol test, which may occur either during the interview process or on your first day of employment.
