Job Description

Job title: Hazard Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: 12-18 months Subject to extension
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £372/day Umbrella
Location: Bristol - Hybrid available (Min 3 days in office)
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Degree in relevant field
- 6+ years of experience
- Knowledge of safety requirement implementation and hazard studies
- Knowledge of Nuclear safety assessment principles
- Experience in systems, layout engineering and pipework
- Knowledge of and ability to use PDMS and Navisworks
Role information:

- Produce updates to hazard verification studies
- Produce simplified design calculation hypotheses
- Identify threats to equipment and how they will be affected
- Produce studies on the functional redundancies impacted
- Manage technical topics relating to protection requirements for hazards within the building and system design
- Provide technical expertise on the functional safety requirements within the design
