Back in July, our Contractor Management team stepped out of their comfort zone to embark on a 19-mile walk to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
Nicole Mannion, Nichola Dace, Jessica Carmelino, Rachel Shepard, Kate McKeown, Emma Bache and Tom Marchant walked over 19 miles from our Warrington branch all the way to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to raise money for the charity.
Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class patient-friendly hospital for 275,000 children and families that it cares for every year. Since April 2013, over £43 million has been raised for a range of life-saving equipment and facilities which are making a real difference. The charity helps to fund a wide range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of amazing young patients, including cutting-edge surgical technology, hi-tech distraction equipment a range of programmes and special projects/
It took the team about eight hours to complete the walk and upon arrival at the Hospital, they were greeted by members of staff and patients – who the team presented with the money they’d raised.
