Summary of the Role
You’ll provide crucial support to the finance department by assisting with various accounting and administrative tasks. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the timely availability of financial information. Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are key for this role!
Based in Cyprus, you’ll manage internal and external queries, supporting UK-based teams.
This is a full time role aligned to UK working hours, which will be well-suited to a versatile, organised individual ready to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions accurately and promptly.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in full compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide via support to the accounts payable team, including invoice management, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Engage in variance analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally as an Assistant Accountant or similar.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
