We’ve raised over £1000 for NHS Charities Together since the beginning of lockdown through our peer-to-peer recognition scheme “Rullion Stars”.
Each month, employees across the business choose the person they think has gone above and beyond in their work, whilst also demonstrating a strong commitment to upholding Rullion’s values. Whoever gets the most votes from their peers wins the award, after which we donate £100 to NHS Charities Together in their name.
The money we raise goes towards all manner of support for the NHS, from providing staff and patients with wellbeing hubs, helping form social and community partnerships and building up funds for economic recovery grants.
Socially conscious businesses across the UK have so far raised £130m for NHS Charities Together, which has helped support 1.5m NHS staff.
The scheme fits with Rullion’s wider corporate social responsibility programme and follows our partnerships with organisations such as Teenage Cancer Trust, Ambitious About Autism, Print Releaf and SE Recycling.
Kim Strachan, People Director at Rullion, had this to say of the initiative:
“Not only does our peer-to-peer recognition scheme give all our employees the opportunity to shine a light on those colleagues they feel are doing amazing work, it gives us the chance to raise money for the NHS in what is an incredibly testing time. We are proud to do our bit to support all NHS initiatives and will continue to support them in any way we can throughout the pandemic”.
